Our Experts in Early Childhood Education: Meet our founder & directress!
With over 15 years of experience in education, Dr. Roxan B. Sta. Ana is a respected educator, school leader, and early childhood specialist dedicated to nurturing young learners and empowering educators. Her passion for quality early childhood education led to the establishment of Kukan Childcare & Learning Center in 2016, where she continues to serve as Owner and Directress.
Dr. Sta. Ana is a licensed teacher and holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Education, major in Educational Leadership & Management, a Master of Arts in Education major in Early Childhood Education (Magna Cum Laude), and a Bachelor in Elementary Education major in Early Childhood Education, where she was recognized as an Outstanding Pre-Service Teacher.
Her professional experience spans both local and international educational settings. She served as a Lead Preschool Teacher at PCF Sparkletots Preschool Singapore, where she implemented the Singapore Early Childhood framework and mentored fellow educators. She currently serves as an Educational Consultant and BECED Program Coordinator at Immaculate Conception I-College, contributing to curriculum development, teacher training, and academic program management. As a researcher and advocate of play-based learning, Dr. Sta. Ana published an international research study entitled “The Utilization of Play-Based Innovative Teaching Strategy Among Kindergarten Pupils: Analysis of Implementation and Outcomes” in Psychology and Education (2024).
Through her leadership, Kukan has grown into a trusted learning institution that combines the Singapore Play-Based Curriculum with a nurturing environment that supports children's holistic growth. Her vision is to make high-quality early childhood education accessible to more communities through the Kukan franchise network.
